Pricing
How pricing works
A dual-fuel system is priced to the house. This page names what moves the number. Your written quote carries the amounts.
What decides the price
The same things change the number from one house to the next.
Heat pump size, from the load calculation
Furnace input size and efficiency
Whether your furnace stays or goes
Duct condition and any changes to them
Controls: thermostat and outdoor sensor
Electrical work, venting, gas line and the county permit
What the quote includes, and what it doesn't
It lists the scope line by line, each piece of equipment by model, the permit, the haul-away of what comes out, the terms of any warranty and how long the quote holds.
Not included unless listed: duct replacement, a panel upgrade, repairs to the house
If we find something outside the scope we show you and quote it separately before any work
What happens at the visit
We walk the house, measure, look at the furnace, the ducts and the electrical panel, and ask how you use the house. When you book, we tell you whether the visit has a fee and whether it is credited to the work.
Rooms, windows and insulation measured
Furnace, ducts and electrical looked at
Switchover and thermostat talked through
When you get the number
In writing after the visit, never over the phone. We don't give a price before we have seen the house.
Questions
About the quote
Can I compare your quote with another company's?
Yes. The line-by-line scope is made for that. Put them side by side and ask each company what is missing.
How long does the quote hold?
The date it ends is printed on the quote.
Do you offer financing?
Ask us. If we do, the quote lists the lender, the term, the APR and a note that it is with approved credit.
Ready for the visit?
Tell us about the house and we'll set a time.
